Another Record breaking year again for the Motor Trade Industry

Whatcar.com results indicate that that the motor trade industry is going to have yet another record-breaking year. One of the biggest reasons for this success is the rise in the online activity at the beginning of the year, with upwards of 3.5 million visitors to online car sites in January alone, including a 23% boost in mobile traffic. These numbers indicate that consumers are looking to buy a car today more than ever, and one of the reasons for this may be the appeal of the 2015 registration plate.

More evidence indicates that the motor trade industry is only going to grow further, which is excellent news for car dealerships and garages. But as their business starts to flourish, they will have to check their motor trade insurance and car trade insurance policies to ensure they are up to date. These numbers from Whatcar.com and the monthly reports from the Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders indicate that as of January this year, car sales have increasedfor almost 3 years.

Some had predicted that such growth is not here to stay, but Whatcar.com states that owing to the large number of interested car buyers to its website, that they are confident that sales may be higher than the anticipated number of 2.5 million set last year. Jim Holder, editor for Whatcar.com states that the year 2014 saw a 10 year rise in car sales, and 2015 could be much better indeed by these early signs.

There are several reasons for this significant increase in sales, including low interest rates and a more stable economy but today’s manufacturers are also building cars that are much safer, practical and of a higher quality than ever before. When you add a few target price bargains into the mix, there’s no doubt that car sales will only increase. Another big reason for this increase in car sales is low prices at the petrol pump. This may just be the right time to buy a fuel efficient vehicle. Here’s why:

For starters, in light of the low fuel prices, many car makers are offering great discounts to move vehicles off their forecourts. You not only save money on the price of the vehicle, but when the prices at the pump inevitably go back up, you will still be sighing with relief that you bought a frugal motor.
